Definition: The UK regulator for telecoms, broadcast, postal services and online safety. Sets rules on broadband, mobile, TV and radio.

Ofcom banned new mid-contract inflation-linked price rises from 17 January 2025 — increases must now be stated in pounds and pence upfront. Ofcom also oversees the Voluntary Code of Practice on Better Broadband Speeds.
