Reading and using the site. You do not need an account to read our guides. Our calculators work in your browser; the site does not submit their inputs to a calculation service. Search downloads our search index and filters it in your browser. A submitted search can appear in the page address, browser history and technical request records. Do not include identifying information in a search or calculator.

Cookies and browser storage. Our current page features do not write cookies. The budget planner saves your entered amounts on this device only when you select its save control. You can choose to resume or delete that saved budget; it is not an account and does not sync between devices. Other tool selections and search terms are not saved by these page features. The correction link opens your email application; it does not submit a vote or message automatically. Older versions may have left a local feedback flag on your device, which you can clear through your browser’s site-data settings. See our cookie policy.

Saved budgets and downloads. A saved budget remains in this browser until you clear it, clear the site’s data or the browser removes it. Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to resume it; avoid saving on a shared device. Downloaded budgets and checklists are files on your device. Deleting browser data does not delete downloaded or printed copies. These tools do not send their inputs or saved budgets to us.

Advertising and analytics. The website does not embed an automatic third-party advertising or analytics script in its pages. We do publish clearly marked commercial links, including related services. This statement about page features does not describe every setting or process used by hosting providers or the external websites you choose to visit.

Technical requests. Loading a page sends request information to the hosting and delivery services, including an IP address, the requested address and browser information. Hosting providers may process technical records for delivery, security and troubleshooting. These records are separate from browser cookies. Contact us if you need information about data or retention relating to a particular request.

Commercial and external links. When you follow a link to a provider or affiliate network, that service may process your visit or purchase and use its own cookies under its privacy and cookie policies. Some links go directly to a provider; others use an affiliate redirect. Instant Deed Poll and SwiftWill share Money Guide’s operator but have their own service-specific privacy information. If you contact us. Sending an email shares your email address, message and any attachments with us and the email services used to deliver it. We use the information to respond and handle the enquiry or correction. Do not send bank details, identity documents or other sensitive information unless it is necessary for your enquiry. Keep a copy of anything you want us to refer to later.

Your privacy rights. You can contact us about access to, correction of or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to raise a concern.
