Our page features do not write cookies. The budget planner offers optional saving on your device. Last updated 12 September 2026.
Guides, tools and search. You can read guides without signing in. Calculators use the inputs in the current page, and search filters a downloaded index in your browser. Search terms and ordinary calculator inputs are not saved by these features. The budget planner is the optional exception described below.
Optional saved budget. Selecting Save budget stores your budget amounts and a save timestamp in this browser’s local storage. Nothing is saved until you choose that control. You can resume or delete the saved copy in the planner; it remains until you clear it or the browser removes it. It is not sent to Money Guide or synchronised to another device. Do not save a budget on a shared browser profile if others should not see it. You can use the planner without saving anything.
Corrections and old feedback flags. The current correction link opens your email application and sends nothing until you choose to send the message. It does not store a feedback vote. If you used an older version of the site, a local feedback flag may remain in your browser. You can remove it using the browser’s settings for this site’s stored data.
Page scripts and hosting. Our pages do not embed an automatic third-party advertising or analytics script. Hosting and security services can still process technical requests; browser cookies are not the only way information can be processed. Read our privacy notice for the distinction. We do not present a cookie-consent control for the current page features.
When you follow a commercial link. A link may take you directly to a provider or through an affiliate network. Those services may use cookies or similar technology under their own policies. This includes the related services Instant Deed Poll and SwiftWill: check the policy on the service you use. A link marked with an asterisk identifies a commercial relationship, not a guarantee about the destination’s cookie behaviour.
Managing data on your device. Your browser settings let you inspect, block or clear site data. Clearing this site’s data does not clear data held by another website you visited or remove emails you sent to us. Browser caching of page files is separate from saving your calculator inputs.
