Junior ISA

Definition: A tax-free savings or investment account for under-18s, with an annual allowance of £9,000 across cash and stocks & shares combined.

Opened by a parent or guardian; the child takes over management at 16 and ownership at 18 when the funds roll into an adult ISA. Anyone can contribute up to the annual cap.
