In short: Pure home workers on domestic premises usually stay on domestic energy tariffs — business energy contracts target separate business meters at commercial addresses. If you are self-employed, you can claim the business proportion of domestic energy through HMRC's simplified flat rates or actual costs. Employees can no longer claim working-from-home tax relief from 2026/27 (only for earlier years, and only if they had to work from home).
